During both of my pregnancies, I gained a lot of weight, and for someone who has always been active in the gym, that was a hard pill to swallow. Being pregnant is one thing, but navigating your postpartum body afterward is an entirely different challenge. The first time around, it took me over a year to return to my pre-baby weight, and even then, my body composition didn’t feel like me. So, with my second pregnancy, I was determined to get my confidence back, but to do it in a way that supported my recovery and my baby.
I joined WAG because I wanted a plan that would help reach my goals in a healthy, sustainable way, without compromising my milk supply (my top priority). Working with Pam has been incredible. I started WAG 12 weeks postpartum and within 4 months on the program , I was starting to fit back into my clothes, feeling stronger, and seeing amazing results both on the scale and in my progress pictures.
I followed my macros, but it never felt restrictive or overwhelming because I was so motivated and supported. The accountability and structure Pam provided made all the difference. I focused on a few simple habits; tracking my food (yes, even the chocolate peanut butter cups!), hitting 10k steps a day, strength training 3 times a week, and getting sleep whenever possible. I kept my meals simple, rotated through the same protein sources, and learned that consistency, not perfection, drives progress.
Before starting, I worried about snacking off my toddler’s plate or losing momentum during vacations and visits from family. But Pam helped me see that flexibility is part of the process, and one “off” day or even week won’t derail my goals. WAG gave me the structure, tools, and confidence I needed to feel like myself again.
